What's the difference between user tags and managed tags? Distinctions, functionalities and purposes of both types of tags.
There are 2 types of tags on the platform. User tags and Ruepoint tags. The main difference lies in their origin and usage: user tags are created by individual users, while Ruepoint tags are part of the platform's predefined tagging system and are managed by Ruepoint's team.
You can use tags to articles to get quick access to pre-selected articles, create a report, control which articles are sent in news alerts etc.
Managed tags
These are tags that have been commissioned as part of media monitoring service. The client may wish for Ruepoint to tag specific topics discussed in the articles or people mentioned in them. For example, all articles about stock prices will be marked with the "Stock prices" tag, and similarly, any article that mentions the CEO's name will be tagged with "CEO Mention".
These tags are assigned without the involvement of the portal user. If you want to make changes to them, you should contact the account manager.
User tags
As the name suggests, user tags are managed by the platform user. The user can create new tags, manage the tags they have created, and automate them to some extent through mapping.
Tags can be helpful for analyzing trends, crisis management, etc. Users can mark articles related to specific product launches, press releases, or events.
Please note that you can see all the tags that were created on the portal including those created by other users of your portal. Hovewer you can only edit and delete the one you created personally.
