How to use the analytical model? How to check my KPIs on the portal?

In addition to browsing articles, you can also utilise the analytical model available on the portal. 

The portal's analytical tools offer powerful features for understanding media coverage. It tracks article counts, sentiment trends, reach metrics, and more through intuitive visualisations and AI insights. Users can easily export data and explore detailed breakdowns by media type, sources, authors, countries, sentiment, and tags. This makes it a valuable tool for gaining insights and making informed decisions about media strategy and performance.

In the menu on the left-hand side, click on "Analyse" to find 7 categories for analysing your media coverage.

TIP: Remember that the graphs will be based on the currently active profile and selected time period. Make sure to select the desired ones before analysing the content.

Key Features

Drill-through and Clari™  Insights

The portal has drill-through capabilities, allowing users to dive deeper into the data for a more detailed analysis. Additionally, AI-generated insights by Clari™  enhance analytical capabilities, providing users with advanced, automated insights.

Export Options

Users can export data in various formats, including SVG, PNG, and Excel, facilitating easy sharing and further analysis.

Interactive Data Visualisation

Hovering over data points on the charts displays detailed information about  labels and values, offering a quick and intuitive way to understand the metrics.

Dashboards Breakdown

Overview

The overview section displays the article count for the currently selected profile and time period, providing a snapshot of media coverage.

  • Article Count 
    • Doughnut charts show the value for the current period and the value for the previous period, as well as percentage increase of decrease compared to the previous period. The "previous period" is determined based on the time period currently selected. For instance, if the date filter is set to the last "7 days," the comparison period is the previous 7 days.
  • Sentiment/Volume Over Time
    • To the right of the Article Count chart, a timeline represents the breakdown of  sentiment  over time, allowing users to track it's changes.
  • Total Reach
    • The Total Reach doughnut chart, also split in half, shows the current reach value compared to the previous maximum value. The bottom half displays the reach value for the previous period.

    • This timeline represents the reach in correspondence with sentiment over time.
  • Average Impact
    • The final doughnut chart, also split in half, represents the average impact compared to the previous period

Media Type

The Media Type dashboard provides a detailed breakdown of media coverage across different  source types, allowing users to analyse print, broadcast, and online media metrics.

  • Media Totals

    • The dashboard features three doughnut charts, each representing the totals for Print, Broadcast, and Online media within the selected period frame and filters applied.
  • Timeline Visualisation
    • For each media type, there is a corresponding time series area visualisation. These visualisations offer a dynamic view of how each media type's metrics change over time.
    • The time series visualisations are equipped with a Series Option selector, enabling users to switch between Volume, Reach and  Impact metrics. This flexibility allows for a customised analysis, catering to specific insights and data needs.

Sources and Authors

The Sources and Authors dashboard offers insights into the most influential sources and authors within the selected time period and filters applied.

  • Sources

    • This section features a bar chart that displays the top 25 sources, ordered from most to least influential.
    • Users can toggle between Volume, Reach, and Impact metrics using the selectors on top of the chart.
  • Authors

    • Similarly this section features a  bar chart that displays the top 25 authors, set in a descending order.
    • Users can toggle between Volume, Reach, and Impact metrics using the selectors on top of the chart.

Country

The Country dashboard provides detailed insights into media coverage and sentiment across various countries within the selected time period and filter applied.

  • Country and Media Type
    • This section features a vertically stacked bar chart that displays the top 10 countries, set in descending order, with each bar showing the percentage breakdown of media types (Print, Online, Broadcast).
    • Users can toggle between Volume, Reach, and Impact metrics using the selectors on top of the chart.
  • Country and Sentiment
    • This section includes a vertically stacked bar chart showcasing the top 10 countries, in descending order, with each bar showing the percentage of sentiment (Positive, Negative, Neutral).
    • The selectors on top of the chart enable users to switch between Volume, Reach, and Impact metrics.

Sentiment

The Sentiment dashboard provides an analysis of sentiment volumes and their distribution across different media types.

  • Sentiment Volumes
    • This section features three doughnut charts, each representing one sentiment type: Positive, Negative, and Neutral.
    • Each chart is split in half, displaying the current number on the top half and  the total for the previous period on the bottom one. 
  • Sentiment by Media Types
    • This section includes three bar charts, each showing sentiment totals (Positive, Negative, Neutral) for different media types: Print, Online, and Broadcast.
    • Users can toggle between Volume, Reach, and Impact metrics using the selector on top.

Tags

The Tags dashboard provides a detailed view of user and managed tags, offering insights into their performance over time and their distribution across various metrics.

What's the difference between user tags and managed tags?

  • User Tags
    • This section features a line chart visualising the top 5 user tags over time.
    • Users can toggle between Volume, Reach, and Impact metrics using the selector on top of the chart.
  • Managed Tags
    • This section includes a similar line chart for the top 5 managed tags.
    • Users can switch between Volume, Reach, and Impact metrics using the selector on top of the chart.
  • Top tags
    • Additionally, this section contains six pie charts organised into two groups
    • The first three display the top 10 user tags, with one pie chart each for Volume, Reach, and Impact.
    • The remaining three columns show the top 10 managed tags, also broken down by Volume, Reach, and Impact.

Compare

The Compare dashboard allows users to examine results from multiple profiles, enabling a comparison of up to five profiles. Users can compare Volume, Reach, or Impact across selected profiles.

  • Profile Comparison
    • From the list on top users can select up to 5 profiles.
    • The portal will generate a line chart that displays data for each profile.
    • Users can toggle between Volume, Reach, and Impact metrics using the selector.
